Introduction
The trial version is provided without charge or warranty of any kind (see EULA agreement) for the use of determining whether or not FASTImgWiz may be of use.to you in retrieving your files for IMG store. Normally if a IMG store is verifiable (even with errors), you can be successful in retrieving your data. The trial version only verifies the IMG store but does not allow for any recovery, that functionality is provided by the registered version only. And you may purchase at:

Verify Image
To verify, choose location of source IMG store, Temp directory and Destination directory and press verify. If the IMG was created with a XP SP3, check the SP3 box. If you get an invalid store or location error recheck you source store location and try checking or unchecking the checkbox for SP3. If you still experience problems, you may have a store that is too corrupted and may require extraordinary recovery offered by FASTConv.org.

Dealing with errors
Often times the Files and Setting Transfer Settings import function fails due to individually corrupt files contained within the IMG files. FASTImgWiz allows you to exclude those files and continue with extracting later files in the Image file. Once and error is detected it will mark the file in the Status field as Error (Tip: click on the column header for Status to sort list putting the Error file(s) at the top), you need only then hit the Select all button, uncheck the file marked with status Error and hit the Verify selected button and repeat for each occurrence of an corrupt files until finished.
This process of weeding out the corrupt files may take a long time since the utility must rerun through the entire Image files again and again. Our test on a 25 GB set of Image files took over 5 hours to finish with 12 internal files marked as Errors. But in the end we were successful in retrieving 99.99% of all files.
Extracting The Results **Updated**
Once you have finished with the verify you can use the extract selected buttons to extract your files for SP2 or earlier. For SP3 Image files you must check Save temp files for the utility to save those files in the temp directory and use the Transdb portion of the utility to do the final filename matching.
Saving Temp files and TransDB
In some extreme cases you may not get through the processing completely due to a catastrophic error(s), checking the box, Keep temporary files or in earlier using the fastconv.exe you used the /k switch to save the temporary files in the Temp folder. If so than you probably have a temp folder like this:
There sub directories of the temp folder hold all your files but they are labeled 0000001.dat, 000002.dat and so on. Also there may be a folder called Trans that holds a file called db.dat, this is a database file that holds all the originally filenames. You may then be able to click on the TransDB button to launch the FASTDBConvert add-in to match those dat files with their original names (Registered version only) by running that utility. Just identify the db.dat location and click Get_Names, the screen will turn RED while processing and extract the files to another location (Note: do not use an existing named folder, the program with create the directory for you.).

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTINUING WITH THIS PROGRAM INSTALL:
Compuwatcher, Inc. End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and Compuwatcher, Inc. for the Compuwatcher, Inc. FASTImgWIZ(s) identified above which may include associated software components, media, printed materials, and "online" or electronic documentation ("FASTIMGWIZ"). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the FASTIMGWIZ, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. This license agreement represents the entire agreement concerning the program between you and Compuwatcher, Inc., (referred to as "licenser"), and it supersedes any prior proposal, representation, or understanding between the parties. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not install or use the FASTIMGWIZ.
The FASTIMGWIZ is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. The FASTIMGWIZ is licensed, not sold.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE.
The FASTIMGWIZ is licensed as follows:
(a) Installation and Use.
Compuwatcher, Inc. grants you the right to install and use copies of the FASTIMGWIZ on your computer running a validly licensed copy of the operating system for which the FASTIMGWIZ was designed [e.g., Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows 2000 , Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows Vista].
(b) Backup Copies.
You may also make copies of the FASTIMGWIZ as may be necessary for backup and archival purposes.
2. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS.
(a) Maintenance of Copyright Notices.
You must not remove or alter any copyright notices on any and all copies of the FASTIMGWIZ.
(b) Distribution.
You may not distribute registered copies of the FASTIMGWIZ to third parties. Evaluation versions available for download from Compuwatcher, Inc. websites may be freely distributed.
(c) Prohibition on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and Disassembly.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the FASTIMGWIZ, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.
(d) Rental.
You may not rent, lease, or lend the FASTIMGWIZ.
(e) Support Services.
Compuwatcher, Inc. may provide you with support services related to the FASTIMGWIZ ("Support Services"). Any supplemental software code provided to you as part of the Support Services shall be considered part of the FASTIMGWIZ and subject to the terms and conditions of this EULA.
(f) Compliance with Applicable Laws.
You must comply with all applicable laws regarding use of the FASTIMGWIZ.
3. TERMINATION
Without prejudice to any other rights, Compuwatcher, Inc. may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this EULA. In such event, you must destroy all copies of the FASTIMGWIZ in your possession.
4. COPYRIGHT
All title, including but not limited to copyrights, in and to the FASTIMGWIZ and any copies thereof are owned by Compuwatcher, Inc. or its suppliers. All title and intellectual property rights in and to the content which may be accessed through use of the FASTIMGWIZ is the property of the respective content owner and may be protected by applicable copyright or other intellectual property laws and treaties. This EULA grants you no rights to use such content. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Compuwatcher, Inc.
5. NO WARRANTIES
Compuwatcher, Inc. expressly disclaims any warranty for the FASTIMGWIZ. The FASTIMGWIZ is provided As Is without any express or implied warranty of any kind, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability, noninfringement, or fitness of a particular purpose. Compuwatcher, Inc. does not warrant or assume responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of any information, text, graphics, links or other items contained within the FASTIMGWIZ. Compuwatcher, Inc. makes no warranties respecting any harm that may be caused by the transmission of a computer virus, worm, time bomb, logic bomb, or other such computer program. Compuwatcher, Inc. further expressly disclaims any warranty or representation to Authorized Users or to any third party.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In no event shall Compuwatcher, Inc. be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, lost profits, business interruption, or lost information) rising out of Authorized Users' use of or inability to use the FASTIMGWIZ, even if Compuwatcher, Inc. has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event will Compuwatcher, Inc. be liable for loss of data or for indirect, special, incidental, consequential (including lost profit), or other damages based in contract, tort or otherwise. Compuwatcher, Inc. shall have no liability with respect to the content of the FASTIMGWIZ or any part thereof, including but not limited to errors or omissions contained therein, libel, infringements of rights of publicity, privacy, trademark rights, business interruption, personal injury, loss of privacy, moral rights or the disclosure of confidential information.
